British and American English Workshop
• Limited vacancies
Why are there so many differences between British and American English if both England and America have one common language?
Here we have a small sample of the vocabulary we will be dealing with.
If I talk about "Barney Rubble", am I precisely referring to the Flintstones character?
If a girl is addressed as "Biffa", would she be happy?
If someone told you, "Bob's your uncle", what is he trying to tell you?
How would you describe someone who is "cack-handed"?
These and a great variety of expressions will be discussed in this workshop.
In this two hour workshop, participants will receive a glossary, a handout with exercises, an answer key, and several exercises to work on.
Duration: 3 hours
Venue: Capital Federal
